RELEASE DATE: June 26
IN A NUTSHELL: Anna (Abigail Breslin) sues her parents (Cameron Diaz, Jason Patric) when she becomes tired of being a pin cushion in the service of her older sister who has leukemia, and donating a major organ is the last straw.
FOR YOU: This is definitely a movie-of-the-week with a big-screen cast. Whether you like it depends on how you feel about manipulative weepies (sometimes we need a good cleansing cry)—or how much you loved the Jodi Picoult novel.
FOR THEM: The subject of this PG-13 drama (cancer!) is too disturbing for small children, although pre-teens might want to go because of
Little Miss Sunshine’s spunky star Breslin.
