Why you should see it: Holiday movies tend to be light and airy. Cassandra's Dream steers clear of typical holiday merriment and goes to a much grittier place. Two brothers (McGregor and Farrell) find themselves needing money; one wants the cash for gambling debts, the other for a girl (Atwell). Soon a solution comes to them with a very hefty expense.
Box-office bottom line: Woody Allen's return to crime drama may not translate into box office gold, but Allen's fairly large fan base definitely will fill the seats.
