Holiday Movie Guide 2007

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story
Cast: John C. Reilly, Jenna Fischer, Kristen Wiig and Tim Meadows
Release date: December 21
Why you should see it: After an amazing year for Judd Apatow (director of Knocked Up and producer of Superbad), he finishes out 2007 producing a film he wrote with friend Jake Kasdan. Walk Hard sounds a lot like a biopic from a few years back that covered the life of the man in black. But don't expect the same seriousness. While the music sounds credible, the lyrics (i.e. "I stand for the midget, I stand for the Negro, I stand for the Injun all hopped up on booze") get us back to the disgusting comedy we all love.
Box-office bottom line: Not necessarily an Oscar caliber film. Instead, the theater will be packed with Apatow fans looking for a much-needed laugh before any more holiday madness ensues.
