And according to unconfirmed Hollywood rumors, Sharon Stone and Tori Spelling have given the low-carb Sugar Busters! diet a try. The doctor-created plan says cutting sugar is the secret to losing weight.
Low-Fat
It may seem like everyone in Hollywood is running from the breadbasket, but some stars are focusing less on carbs and more on fat. Fran Drescher's diet of choice is the low-fat Weight Watchers plan. Weight Watchers serves up balanced meals based on a point system where every food is assigned a number of points based on its fat, fiber and calorie content. The program slimmed down Sarah Ferguson who went from a size 14 to a size 10 on the plan. The Duchess now preaches what she practices as Weight Watchers' spokeswoman.
Low-fat worked for Monica Lewinsky as well, thanks to Jenny Craig. People Magazine reports that the notorious intern dropped 30 pounds since her days on Pennsylvania Avenue by eating the plan's meals, which are made up of up of 60 percent carbs and 20 percent each of protein and fat. Her dieting success lead to a short stint as Jenny Craig's spokeswoman.
