How he got here: His first best performance was when he mastered English mannerisms to prevent the constant bullying he received as a child for his religion. Daniel's been known as a method actor, refusing to break character in The Unbearable Lightness of Being and My Left Foot.
Who he has to thank: Upton Sinclair for writing the novel "Oil," which this film is loosely based on.
