How he got here: Prior to The Graduate, Dustin had odd jobs to make ends meet: coat checking at restaurants, working in the Yellow Pages typing department and stringing Hawaiian leis.
Who he has to thank: Warren Beatty and Robert Redford. Warren and Robert were initially up for the lead role in The Graduate, but when negotiations fell through, Dustin was offered the part.
Awards so far: Emmy, Academy and Golden Globe awards
