It's a... girl! Her name is Ramona.
And baby makes... three. This is the first child for Maggie and Peter, who have been dating for four years.
Pregnancy diary: "Peter Sarsgaard and Maggie Gyllenhaal had a baby girl named Ramona yesterday in NYC. Mom, dad and baby are healthy and happy," their rep said in a statement. Us Weekly reports that the baby weighed in at 8 pounds, 6 ounces. Also, Maggie delivered at The Birthing Center at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital. The deal with TBC is that most moms go through labor in hydrotherapy tubs and give birth in bed. Epidurals are not given there. Also, there's no limit to the number of people who can be in the room with the mom-to-be (October 4)... Maggie tells a reporter that she'll be out of commission for a little while after she gives birth, but she hasn't made any long-term plans for her career. "I haven't made decisions about it. It's impossible to anticipate what it will feel like to be a new mom" (September 3)... Maggie appeared on the Martha Stewart Show and said she was "overwhelmed" with happiness about having a child (May 6)... According to the Celebrity Baby Blog, Maggie is 13 weeks along and she's due in mid-October (April 14)... Maggie's publicist announces that the longtime couple is expecting their first baby and they're engaged (April 13).
