It wasn't the menu, the music or the celebrity guest list that set ABC's winter soiree apart from other star-studded Hollywood events. It was the very famous fictional location. Guests at this exclusive block party got to make like the late nosy-body Mrs. Huber and snoop at will inside the neat-as-a-pin homes of Wisteria Lane and see the desperate housewives' living quarters up close. Signs reading "Hot Set" warned visitors not to touch anything, and guards watchfully ensured that props didn't become souvenirs ‑- and that food and drink from the various stations along the street remained safely outside.
