The buzz: More than 60 bands on multiple stages, plus art exhibits, fashion, food and kiddie events mark this year's extravaganza, the ninth Lollapalooza fest since Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell conceived of the idea for the first one in 1991. Last year's multi-date Lollapalooza was cancelled because of poor ticket sales, but this year's promises to be a rocking success. In fact, 2,000 early tickets that were offered with a special $35 price tag sold out in less than 80 minutes, and scalpers are already charging more than $200 for the two-day passes. At press time, two-day passes were still available at the official event Website.
The hits: The Killers' "Somebody Told Me"; Weezer's "Beverly Hills"
