Behind the Scenes: On the Set of We Are Marshall

Game, Set, MatchI was especially excited for this visit, my first time on a movie set, because We Are Marshall is the story of my alma mater, Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. In 1970, 75 people -- football players, coaches and fans -- died in a plane crash on the way home from a football game. It's been called the greatest tragedy in sports history. The crash took place one minute before the plane would have landed. It was the first time the team had ever chartered a flight. I was invited to the Atlanta set to interview the Matthews (Lost's Matthew Fox costars in the film), tour some "hot sets," watch scenes actually being shot and help myself to the snacks at the craft service table. I also visited Huntington to catch a Marshall game with McConaughey and see where some of the exteriors were shot. So check out the behind-the-scenes photos and get the scoop on the making of We Are Marshall...
