Into the BlueStars: Paul Walker, Jessica Alba, Scott Caan, Ashley Scott, Josh Brolin No one's saying it's a great movie, but this week's female critics do find lots to entertain them, in an eye candy sorta way, in this underwater adventure about a group of pals who find themselves in danger when they go looking for a buried treasure. The Chicago Tribune's Allison Benedikt says, "Mad props to Peter Zuccarini, who headed the team of ocean-bound photographers and captured some remarkably vivid footage, and also to the actors, who spend plenty of time looking cool, calm and collected swimming with the predatory fishes. (Alba's diving is particularly streamlined and stunning to watch. Also, she's hot.)" TV Guide's Maitland McDonagh says, "The cast is little more than the sum total of golden skin, firm flesh and blindingly white teeth, but in a film that demands them to be half-naked and soaking," and the Miami Herald's Connie Ogle says, " For what appears on the surface to be nothing more than a vapid helping of eye candy, the film is a somewhat silly but reasonably entertaining adventure about an attractive couple, hidden treasure and the moral questions inherent in scavenging, drug dealing and extensive body waxing." And the Austin Chronicle's Marrit Ingman says, "Everyone in this movie is impossibly hot (when we need a gun-toting heavy to menace our heroes, we get supermodel Beckford), but Stockwell draws the net around them efficiently enough, and after a meandering first act, the movie gets down to business as a crisp little thriller." Female consensus: The acting and plot may be all wet, but the stars sure are pretty
