Behind the Scenes: On the Set of We Are Marshall

NFL Meets HollywoodLast spring, a record 17,346 fans turned out for the Green-White spring game at Marshall, which featured a reunion for the members of 1996 Division I-AA national championship team. Randy Moss from the Oakland Raiders and Chad Pennington from the Jets - both alum -- served as honorary coaches. McG filmed shots of the crowd and McConaughey and the actors mixed it up with the guys. I asked Anthony Mackie what he thought of the Moss - who has the reputation for being... difficult - and Pennington. "Chad Pennington is a great guy," Mackie smiled, obviously ignoring the Moss part of the question. "I'll tell you something... The one thing that can destroy talent is arrogance. As soon as you believe in yourself more than other people believe in you, you're over. Chad Pennington is a great guy. He's a humble, down to Earth, well-rounded cat who's personable. I mean, we're all working. We're all talented. We're all good at what we do. That don't make you better than the dude picked up the towels. And when you think you're better than the dude picking up the towels, somebody need to pop you in your mouth." Well, said.
