Brokeback Mountain is cementing is place as a front-runner for the entire awards season by picking up key awards for the 63rd Annual Golden Globe Awards, which are chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Time will tell if the film can hold onto the lead it started when the Globes were handed out on Monday, January 16, live on NBC from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
