The Cave

Stars: Morris Chestnut, Eddie Cibrian, Cole Hauser, Piper Perabo
Director: Bruce Hunt
Rating: PG-13

If audiences believe the Leading Ladies' reviews of this thriller about a team of scientists investigating a newly discovered underwater cave system, it'll be an upstream battle at the box office for The Cave.

USA Today's Claudia Puig says, "The screenplay is thin, the dialogue lacks nuance and the acting is often laughable."

The New York Times's Laura Kern says, "Not only is the film dreadfully dull: every time something potentially exciting does occur, the scenes are so muddled and chaotic that it is impossible to make out what is happening."

And the Arizona Republic's Kathy Cano Murillo writes, "Despite the occasional chuckles of embarrassment for what the cast must endure, The Cave is a dead end."

Female consensus: This voyage to the bottom of the sea is all wet
