Teens go Roman
Epic mini-series used to be for holiday specials and big ratings, but not so anymore. Your kids shouldn't miss:
Empire
ABC, Tuesday, 9pm starting June 28
Kids need a jump on that Roman history class they signed up for next fall? Tune into this six-hour mini-series that tells the tale of Julius Caesar's murder and the subsequent rise of his nephew Octavius. When the senate turns against Octavius, he's forced into exile along with a disgraced gladiator, Tyrannus, who's sworn to protect him (okay, this guy is fictional, so it's not exactly the true story). The series culminates in a final showdown with Mark Antony (that's Antony, not Anthony ‑- this is one show J. Lo has nothing to do with). Buff guys in togas, assassination attempts, kidnappings, power struggles between conquering heroes... like sand through the hourglass, so are the days of Octavius's life.
next : Relaxation for tiny ones
