Madi about Music

Madi Diaz, who is 16 in the film, traveled all the way from her Mennonite school in Lancaster, PA, to Philadelphia each week to study with Green. On her own, she dreamed of being the next Sheryl Crowe and fronted a Quaker rap group, but after attending Green's school, she was ready to smash guitars on stage and was one of the highlights of the Germany Zappa show. She's now studying at the Berklee College of Music. Her father, who was an instructor at the school in Philadelphia, is now its musical director.
