"Be a mom"

As a mom, a sitcom is the only way to go for me. It's fantastic because it's almost like real hours. I can drop Stella off at school, go to work, and then go home right when she's getting home and be a mom. That is just a brilliant way to work. It all gets covered, and you don't sit in your trailer like in the movies and the one-hour, one-camera things with 17-hour ridiculous days where you might work one hour, and then you're just there pining for your kids. And I love the idea of having the audience there. It's like a little play. I like that. It's the right amount of acting pressure."
