While all of the children learned, one stood out. Avijit, then 12, was a difficult, troubled boy who liked to paint. He turned out to be a phenomenal photographer. "He's a little genius," says Briski. He now attends the best day school in Calcutta and has had his work displayed internationally in children's photography exhibits.
